Are their GPS systems that can be used for Geocaching as well as in the car that will give you (turn by turn)?

Thursday, October 30th, 2008
I recently purchased a Magellan 300 which works great for hiking but only shows major highways and not streets. I have looked for maps to download but it seems that this system only can use topography maps and I need something more precise..Any help?

Where can I do a Pornography degree?

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008
I want to study for a University degree.

Provision is made for studying Geography, Topography, Cartography, Biography, Phonography etc, but none of these really hits the spot for me.

Where can I go to study Pornography?
I want to study it to degree level.

I know it seems like intellectual vanity, but I want to have it after my name - Doctor of Pornography.

I know some of the smaller Universities in the U.S. offer degrees by mail - perhaps this is where i would have to look?

Where are Gophers Most Often found in the United States?

Monday, October 27th, 2008
They do not seem to be that common in the Midatlantic States, from what I can tell. Are there States out west where they are more common? To what types of areas are they attracted–soil, topography etc. There is not much information on the gopher through conventional search. Thanks.
I see we are getting off to a good start with the nitwit club. Is the ground a State? Must be that 51st one that I didn’t hear about yet.

What are the differences between Southwest Asia and Southeast Asia?

Compare:
1.Type of animal.
2. Climate or plant life.
3. Land forms or Topography
4. Religion
5. Culture (Clothing, home life…)
6. Archietecture/Buildings
CONTRAST BETWEEN THE BOTH.
I NEED SOME IDEAS OF PICTURES OR SYMBOLS SO I CAN PUT IT ON MY POSTER.

Mt. St. Helens Topography?

Friday, October 24th, 2008
-I need a pic of Mt. St. Helens’ topography. I could use one that I could cut out and glue together to make a model even more! I need to make a model of Mt. St. Helens for a project. I think I will make it out of paper mache. Any suggestions?

-I can make any landmark in the USA. If you can get me a good topography map of the landmark, I might change my mind and do that one. I really need this!
Btw, they need to have contour lines!

Choose a product that you think would be suitable to export to Japan based solely on Japans location, climate, topography, and natural resources. What effect might the economic and socioeconomic forces withing Japan have on the product’s potential? Explain the rationale behind your decisions?

What do you think about the electric blast that decimated Mars?

The Northern hemisphere is way below the average elevation for the planet. Also, it seems a lot smoother than that pockmarked southern hemisphere. The North pole of Mars also sits on top of a dome that’s almost 3 kilometers above the surrounding area.

http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/Bigpappadiaz/Mars_nth_pole.jpg

When I look at that picture I imagine the tremendous currents blasting away and smoothing the northern hemisphere, while raising this mound and twisting it like dough.

Glass dunes: http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/Bigpappadiaz/slide25.jpg

These are where the huge currents traveled the surface, finding the shortest distance possible to wherever they went. They effectively turned the dirt and sand to glass.

The Olympus Mons cauldera:

Can you see the resemblance between the experiment and the massive volcanoe’s cauldera?

Craters from the cauldera are centered on each other:

http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/Bigpappadiaz/050606omcaldera.jpg

This is from the arc moving from the lowest elevation (the center) to the highest (the crater rim) and starting a new crater there.

These are touted as collapsed lava tubes by NASA and astronomers, but come on:

You can see these were awesome electric tornadoes burning away the surface material, with a whole bunch of lightning blasts mixed in.

The odd pit and gouge here and there on the planet, a problem for geologists and astronomers to explain, but they’re everywhere: http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/Bigpappadiaz/050411scoops.jpg
Finally, I’ll leave you with these pictures of sunspot filaments. You can see they’re solar tornadoes carrying that electric energy.

Accept these facts and you’ll already be one step ahead of the scientists.
Oh yeah, on that last picture those are the sunspots on the left, and a demonstration of glowing hot gas on the right.

Topography and Map help please?

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008
1. Would a topographic map of a mountain constructed 10,000 years from now be identical to a map drawn in 2004? Explain your answer.

2. In order to construct a topographic map of our area you would have to collect certain data. What are these data and how would you use them to make a contour map?
